Near-Death Experiencer Amphianda Baskett

When Amphianda Baskett was 15 years old, she was sent home from school with a high fever. Shortly thereafter, she lost consciousness and had a profound spiritual experience. When she returned to this world, she reports that she felt like she “was coming up through water” and as she did, the memory of her profound spiritual experience “was being erased.” Following the experience, the next year of her life was wonderful. Her school grades went from D’s and F’s to A’s and B’s. She was filled with love. She was at peace. She felt very wise and KNEW everything was perfect and that there was nothing to worry about. She also felt beautiful and saw that everyone else was beautiful too. But it didn’t last. Eventually, the enchanted feelings faded and the ups and downs of ordinary life began to reassert themselves.
